About Us

The story of Orin Jewelers began in 1933, when Orin J. Mazzoni, Sr. opened his first store in Weirton, West Virginia. A master watchmaker, Orin Sr. built his reputation on exceptional quality, superior service, and honest pricing.

In 1953, Orin Sr. and his wife, Mary, moved their family to Garden City, Michigan, where they opened a jewelry store that would grow into the Orin Jewelers known today. In 1965, the store relocated into a historic building that once housed both a National Bank of Detroit and Garden City’s City Hall.

When Orin Sr. retired in 1969, his son, Orin Jr., stepped in as President and CEO, carrying forward the same family traditions and core values that have been at the heart of Orin Jewelers since the beginning. With a lifelong passion for jewelry, Orin Jr. became a Graduate Gemologist through the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), further solidifying his dedication to fine jewelry and gemstones.

In 1981, Orin Jewelers expanded, opening a showroom in Downtown Northville, where it continues to serve the community with the same passion for craftsmanship and customer service.

We treat every customer like family, proudly serving multiple generations. It is an honor to celebrate life’s biggest moments—engagements, weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, and more—with the families who have trusted us for years.

Our team upholds the highest standards of gemological expertise, undergoing annual recertification with the American Gem Society to maintain their titles and adhere to the AGS Code of Ethics. This dedication ensures that every customer receives expert guidance, honest service, and the highest level of professionalism.
