Vintage Gruen Curvex Precision wristwatch, constructed with a solid 14 karat rose gold curved rectangular case, the interior case back marked “CASED AND TIMED IN U.S.A. BY GRUEN WATCH CO. / 14K GOLD,” and bearing case number U15583.
The watch features a curved champagne-tone dial signed “GRUEN / CURVEX / PRECISION,” with applied gold-tone hour markers, black outer minute track, and a subsidiary seconds dial positioned at 6 o’clock.
The dial is accented by three (3) round brilliant cut diamonds, individually set at approximately the 12, 3 and 9 o’clock positions.
The manually wound mechanical movement is marked “GRUEN WATCH CO. / SEVENTEEN 17 JEWELS / UNADJUSTED / SWITZERLAND” and incorporates Gruen’s distinctive curved Curvex movement configuration, designed to conform to the curvature of the case.
The watch is fitted with a curved crystal and a brown textured genuine lizard strap with gold-tone buckle. The exterior case back bears a personalized period monogram engraving.
