Color of Diamonds
Diamonds occur in every color of the rainbow, although the normal range used in jewelry varies from colorless to light yellow or light brown. Diamonds with distinct tints other than those of the normal range are classified as fancy colors. Color grading usually involves determining where a diamonds color lies within a certain range. Because colorless diamonds are rarest among those in the normal range, the nearer to colorless the higher the grade will be. At Orin diamond jewerlers, our gemologists and jewelers use a certified set of master comparison diamonds to evaluate every diamond we present to you.
